[HTCondor-users] backward compatibility issues?

Hi,

I've just upgraded my negotiator, collectors and schedds to 8.1.5, and left the startds on 8.1.4. Now, the cluster is broken (doesn't run any jobs), and I keep getting these lines in the SchedLog:

04/16/14 15:28:52 (pid:95991) Response problem from startd when requesting claim slot35@xxxxx <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:57803> for btest01 322113.0.

04/16/14 15:28:52 (pid:95991) Failed to send REQUEST_CLAIM to startd slot35@xxxxx <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:57803> for btest01: CEDAR:6004:failed reading from socket

04/16/14 15:28:52 (pid:95991) Match record (slot35@xxxxx <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:57803> for btest01, 322113.0) deleted

Any idea what can cause this?
