[HTCondor-users] Fwd: HTCondor on MacBook

Hi,

Mel (the OP) is trying to help me get HTCondor running on my computer. (He appears to be having problems with his email not going through the list correctly, I apologize if I am re-posting his response email).Â

I've got a new MacBook and we're trying to install HTCondor.Â

We've looked at the workaround Todd send us, but we weren't able to use it.

How long do you think it will be until the next version of version of HTCondor is released and fixes this problem?

Or, do you have any other suggestion?Â

So this started happening when upgrading your Mac to El Capitan? Does your system log have lots of messages like this one:

If so, this problem (and a work-around) was discussed on this list back in June ( see thread https://is.gd/XthYBZ ). In all future upcoming HTCondor releases the work-around will no longer be needed, as the underlying problem that was making El Capitan's System Integrity Protection has been fixed in the HTCondor source code ( see ticket https://is.gd/B1YThU for details ).
