SIP is not a security feature the way you're thinking about it or the
way that Apple have marketed it. SIP is not like a firewall or a malware
scanner. It's an access control system, one that exists for Apple's
benefit, not yours. SIP exists to make it difficult or impossible for
Joe Sixpack to wreck the OS. This keeps Joe from getting pissed and
taking up a "genius'" time trying to fix it.
