[HTCondor-users] Announcing European HTCondor Workshop in UK September 4-7 2018

Dear HTCondor community,

We are pleased to announce the European HTCondor Workshop 2018. The workshop will take place  from 04 to 07 September 2018  (mark your agendas!)

in Didcot, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, hosted by STFC's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), the leading UK laboratory supporting particle physics, space science, materials, astronomy, photon science, computational and e-science, biology, biomedicine and chemistry. The lab hosts the Central Laser Facility, the ISIS pulsed neutron and muon source, the Diamond light source and other facilities.

The workshop will be an excellent occasion for learning from the sources (the developers!) about HTCondor, exchanging with your colleagues about experiences and plans, and providing your feedback to the experts.
Participation is open to all organisations (including companies) and persons interested in HTCondor (and by no means restricted to particle physics and or academia!) If you know potentially interested persons, don't hesitate to make them aware of this opportunity.

Details about the workshop, including travel and accommodation information, are currently being put onto the workshop Web page at

  https://indico.cern.ch/e/htcondor2018

Registration will open in a few day's time - a small announcement will be sent once you can register. A reduced early-bird registration fee will apply until 31 July.

If you consider attending, we would very much like to know about your project, your experience and your plans. Hence you are warmly encouraged to propose a short presentation by submitting an abstract to the workshop page indicated above; follow the "Call for Abstracts" link and select "Submit new abstract". Abstract submission will be open until 12 August 2018.

If you have any questions, please contact hepix-2018condorworkshop-support@xxxxxxxxx .

We are looking forward to a rich, productive workshop, and we hope to see many of you at RAL!
