This sounds good :-). In our case, however, the submission node / schedd node is usually the machine which is rebooted,
but I'd hope this works all the same :-). 

Should work even better the schedd will keep the tickets in a directory and distribute those associated with jobs, delete the rest. 

We do use remote-submit-hosts to separate the scheduler from the actual submit machines which are more or less workgroupserver that need a reboot due to security issues. new kernels etc. ...
