[HTCondor-users] Resource Usage from non HTCondor Jobs

Hi,

We are porting an existing proprietary remote exec system to HTCondor. The existing system launches java applications via powershell scripts.

At this stage we have simply implemented the HTCondor jobs to run the powershell scripts and so the jobs are only active for the life of the script and not the life of the java application. In addition the computing resources are also used by other applications being launched by separate systems.

I was hoping someone could clarify for me whether the HTCondor pool measures/accounts for the resource usage of a) our java applications launched in a fire and forget fashion by HTCondor jobs, and b) other applications not launched by HTCondor.

Thanks,

Lachlan
