Glad to be of help! I also discovered when I was installing 8.8.1 on my Windows machines, that one was using one of its other IP address, so I learned something as well!

This wasnât a wild goose chase insofar as it demonstrated that we can and should do a better job at handling long blocking DNS queries.
We plan to make the following changes:
* Write a message to the daemon log when a DNS query takes an unusually long time.
* Do DNS queries related to the security policy before starting a network connection.

There was a problem with the service order for network connections (reaper has two connections, one internal and one external).
We were also having issues connecting to the outside on our central manager. After we switched the service order, things are now running fine, condor is very responsive. The ProcLog file permissions were also too constrained. I will now
