Re: [HTCondor-users] Error using condor_status

Hi Andreas,

maybe you need to check your 'Allow_*' settings on the central manager, to make sure everything is accessible from the condor point of view try:

ALLOW_READ  = *.*
ALLOW_WRITE = *.*

Hi,

thanks for your reply. Indeed the firewall was blocking before. I opened
up the firewall and now the nmap <central manager> gives me "9618/tcp
open  condor". Also the "nc -z -v <central manager> 9618" command
succeeds from a client as well as the central manager. However, the
error message still remains. There are errors such as

ERROR: SECMAN:2007:Failed to end classad message.
Failed to start non-blocking update to <10.8.0.1:9618>.
condor_read() failed: recv() 5 bytes from collector 10.8.0.1 returned
-1, timeout=20, errno=104 Connection reset by peer.

in the MasterLog. It still seems like there is sth. blocking in the
communication, but the error message is not very clear to me.

best,
Andreas
