Re: [HTCondor-users] Hooks in HTCondor-CE?

The easiest way would be the use of the PostCmd attribute for running upon job completion. It runs as the job owner, so has full access to the job's sandbox and files. Hooks require administrative configuration, but can be useful for certain tasks - the update_job_info hook can be used to run a script periodically during the job's runtime, as discussed in my HTCondor Week 2017 presentation:

Subject: [External] [HTCondor-users] Hooks in HTCondor-CE?

Hi,

what would be the easiest way to run arbitrary scripts at some points in the jobâs lifetime -for example, upon job completion-?
And, would these hooks have access to the jobâs output files?

Thanks,
Jose
