I had a job release unexpectedly on two occasions, but I wasnât able to find what triggered the release and it hasnât occurred again. I reckon it probably wasnât the periodic release statement even though the time interval was a pretty close match to the _expression_âs, and the user said he didnât release it himself. Maybe someone else did.

 

Iâll add it to my âmysteries of the agesâ list.

Between Christina and myself, we can't think of anything obvious that would make dropping the JobStatus == 5 clause from the periodic_release _expression_ problematic, as doing "condor_release" on non-held jobs should result in no change. Curious what different behavior you saw if you're able to share!
