[condor-users] Condor on Windows 2000 (fwd)

(I've sent several messages on this topic to which I've had no replies. If
you can't help then I'd be grateful if you'd just send a message to this
effect)

I'm running Condor (6.6.4) on 2 machines

1. 241018-71132c.liv.ac.uk (admin machine plus submit and execute)
2. 102198-83472r.liv.ac.uk (submit and execute)

If I submit jobs on 1. everything is OK.

If I submit jobs on 2. they are accepted but sit idle.

The collector log on 1. shows

138.253.102.199 is machine 2's IP address.

I've Google searched on the "...PERMISSION DENIED..." message and found a
suggestion that the file access permissions may be wrong.

Machine 1. is using a FAT 32 partition. The documentation says that this
should work but that NTFS is preferred. Machine 1. is a dual-boot machine -
hence FAT 32.

On FAT 32 there doesn't seem to be a way of changing the access permissions.

I'd be grateful for any pointers to what file permissions are necessary,
