[condor-users] Fedora Core 2 Support?

I recently installed Fedora Core 2 on some of my cluster machines, and now Condor (with dynamic links) doesn't seem to work. I have Condor 6.6.5 running on Fedora Core 1. But with the same configuration, condor_startd throws errors on Core 2.

From StartLog:

5/25 16:50:56 ******************************************************
5/25 16:50:56 ** condor_startd (CONDOR_STARTD) STARTING UP
5/25 16:50:56 ** $CondorVersion: 6.6.5 May 3 2004 $

5/25 16:50:56 ** PID = 15831

5/25 16:50:56 Using local config files: /condor/local/condor_config.local

Try setting MEMORY to the number of megabytes of RAM.
5/25 16:50:56 ERROR "Can't compute physical memory." at line 60 in file ResAttributes.C

And from MasterLog:

5/25 16:50:56 The STARTD (pid 15831) exited with status 4
5/25 16:50:56 Sending obituary for "/condor/sbin/condor_startd"
5/25 16:50:56 ERROR: Attempt to initialize user_priv with root privileges rejected
5/25 16:50:56 restarting /condor/sbin/condor_startd in 10 seconds

(Note, this is the gatekeeper, so Condor should be running with root privileges). What would cause calc_phys_mem() to not work? Could it be slightly different versions of glibc? Core 2 uses glibc-2.3.3-27, while Core 1 uses glibc-2.3.2-101. I'm using the same basic configuration as the one that worked on Core 1, so I don't understand why this is happening.

Has anyone else had success running Condor on Fedora Core 2?

Are there any workarounds, or should I just wait for the next version of Condor before using Core 2?

Thanks for your help,
