Changes to environment variables within HTCondor’s DAGMan

Dear CHTC users, 

This message is for a subset of users who use HTCondor’s DAGMan workflow manager to submit jobs on the HTC system. 

Specifically, if you use DAGMan AND your job submit files, pre scripts, or post scripts use environment variables, for example: 

• In a PRE or POST script, something like: 

• mkdir $INPUTDIR

• In a job submit file, something like: 

• initialdir = $ENV(INPUTDIR)

Please contact the Facilitation Team at chtc@xxxxxxxxxxx to learn about changes to make to your jobs. 

If you’re not sure if the above applies to you, you can likely disregard this message as we expect this to impact a very small group of HTC users.
