bw_multiplier enables you to customize the bandwidth of individual links, so the final bandwidth is calculated as:

Individual link bandwidth = 'bw_multiplier:' x g_endpoint_bandwidth

 DEFAULT_BW_MULTIPLIER = 1

bw_unit is the name of the parameter that gets assigned to g_endpoint_bandwidth. So, basically it is g_endpoint_bandwidth.
