[Gems-users] Announcing Patches for Simics 3.x, 4.x Support

Gems User Community-

Windriver, the developer of Simics, has provided patches that allow
GEMS to be used with Simics versions 3.0, 3.2, 4.0, 4.2, and 4.4. We
have posted these patches on the GEMS website *as is* and will not be
providing any official support.

The patches do not support Opal or Tourmaline. Users wishing to use
those modules should use the latest GEMS 2.1.1 release. Also, these
patches remove support for Simics 2.2, which is no longer licensed by
Windriver. More information can be found in the release notes on the
GEMS webpage (www.cs.wisc.edu/gems).
