I can confirm:

@merlin:~/BOINC$ condor_version
$CondorVersion: 6.7.6 Mar 15 2005 $
$CondorPlatform: I386-LINUX_RH9 $
@merlin:~/BOINC$ ldd `which condor_q`
        libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x40029000)
        libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x4003b000)
        libstdc++.so.5 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 (0x4003f000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x400f9000)
        libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x4011b000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40124000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

although we're only using vanilla universe and dagman. Noone ever tried
to condor_compile (with a pool of 180 dual nodes, checkpointing other
than local is futile, and the machines are dedicated to Condor anyway)

I'm working (in a somewhat lazy manner: if it's not broken, don't fix it)
on packaging the latest Condor release for Debian i386 (and perhaps amd64),
and am very optimistic it will run :)

Cheers,
 Steffen
