I saw this to.  In my research I found that there are 4 different environments.  PROCESS, SYSTEM, USER and VOLATILE.  When running a job through condor you only get the PROCESS environment for some reason.  When running a job at the command line, you get them all.  It looks like, PROCESS is set first, then SYSTEM, then USER and then VOLATILE.

 

If all your computers are setup with things in the same place, I'd just use "getenv = true" in your submit file.  That way, you have a usable environment to work with.

I wrote a simple submit to condor that does the SET command on the computer it is run on. I am changing it and allowing it to only run on certain computers at a time. Why does it only return half of the SET I would receive if I ran SET through the command prompt?
