Re: [Condor-users] PC configuration for a manager of a Condor grid

Rodrigo,

I have been using a P4 3.GHz single core PC with 1 gb ram and 100 Gb hdd for 15 PCs.
My central manager is Ubuntu and the others are windows xp.

That central manager can easily control the queries and scheduling, but the demand for the power requirements of the central machine usually depends on the job submission and data transmission density. Moreover, your network bandwidth is another criteria.

The better way is to try.

Hi Alex

I saw this page but I'm looking not only for minimum specs. I'm also
looking for some feedback. I want a pc that can perform the manager
tasks fine for the grid. Reading the minimum specs, a Pentium III PC
with a 10GB Hard Disk may work, but I guess it may not perform fine
the manager tasks in the grid.
