Just answering to my own question:

condor generates the dates in MDY format, whereas PostgreSQL (starting form v8.3) excepts the format to be DMY, hence the errors in the log. The solution is to look for the line:

datestyle = 'iso, dmy'

in the postgresql.conf (in my case: /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf) replace "dmy" by "mdy" and restart pgsql. this should fix the problem.

On another note, it actually caused condor_q to stop working for me as well. Once it fixed, condor_q works happily ever after.

Does anyone know what am I doing wrong here? From the PostgreSQL docs, it
doesn't accept the first value without an explicit datestyle setting for the
current version. Does anyone know a fix?
