Re: [HTCondor-users] Remote submission Window -> Linux

Hey Zach,
thanks for the answers. Different user submission/Owner information is
needed, so undefined owner is unfortunately not an option.
CLAIMTOBE authetication seems to work and would be ok to use, for we are
using it in a closed network.
Now unfortunately the next difficulties arise unsing UNC paths for logs.

For we are using kind of a very special setup here I should explain:

Until today, we only used Linux (Centos 6/7). All data and logfiles are
on a nfs shared directory, so FS_REMOTE authentication works fine so far
and no transfering is used. Submission is always done remotely on the
server (condor_submit -n ...), so we have only one schedd/queue, but
different owers (submitting users). Furthermore, only one
unpartitionable slot per machine is used and all jobs are ran under a
special user account (SLOT1_USER, STARTER_ALLOW_RUNAS_OWNER=False).

Now Windows machines come into play, the shared folder has to be
accessed via network drive/unc (Samba). Furthermore I am not sure, the
docs sound alot like STARTER_ALLOW_RUNAS_OWNER=False is not really possible?

Using condor 8.4.x.

Best
Felix
