Alain, thank you for clarification, though it sounds too grim.
But I am I right to hope that when Condor goes open source, finally, it
will be possible to compile it for Solaris/Intel with some reasonable
effort?

Lack of Solaris/Intel version is especially pitiful for me as one of our
most
powerful servers is the very SUN-made server on Intel platform. There was a 
moment of indecision about a year ago when SUN decided to discontinue
Solaris/Intel
platform. Later the came back to senses and even started to make Linux/Intel
servers. And now they are pushing for Linux/uSPARC combination! And you do
not have this version either? :-)
