The condor_kbdd daemon can be found in the condor-kbdd package. Since many HTCondor installations are in server rooms where there is no use for a keyboard daemon, the condor_kbdd is in a separate package. The condor_kbdd package brings in many dependencies that are not needed on a server in a machine room.

So, please also install the condor-kbdd package.

By the same token, many people do not run VM Universe jobs (especially since Docker is so popular). The VM GAHP has be separated into condor-vm-gahp. That way you don't bring in libvirt and friends if you don't intend to run VM Universe jobs.

Upgrading to 23.1.0 didn't solve the issue.

Has condor_kbdd been replaced by another mechanism to determine KeyboardIdleTime? I have not found anything about this in the changelogs.
