I've had trouble getting the Debian Condor binaries to work on Ubuntu in
the past. I use the RHEL5 ones, and they work fine. I remember having
the libssp problem you mention with the Debian binaries, which IIRC is
because smash stacking protection will either be provided by the
seperate libssp or be incorporated into libc, depending upon your libc
version - and Ubuntu will have a newer libc than Debian..
