Yes, the MSI installer was installed using the default local system account for the condor service, and this was changed to a domain admin account to get it to work on campus. 
It does work fine, and there is no real need to be able to login with this account; it is purely setup to administer the condor service. I was posting for the benefit of others, as it corrupts the user profile.
As regards jobs, I am only submitting some basic stuff at present. This is happening mainly when the machines are being rebooted for updates.

Just to clarify something: have you changed the user under which the Condor service runs, or the account which is used to run jobs? (Or both.)  Secondly, are your jobs using the load_profile option?
