Re: [HTCondor-users] Install condor rpm with relocate

Hi:

Is this problem solved and clarified?  Seems that some part in the the condor_config file from the rpm package is not recognized by condor, but any idea which part the problem lies?

  Cheers,Gang

Subject: [Condor-users] Install condor rpm with relocate

Hi

Very much a newbie with condor and trying to learn fast.

I am trying to install condor to a particular directory (/opt/condor/condor-xxx) and have tried with CentOS 6.3 and 5.8 both with the same results.

When I do condor seems to install correctly but when I try to do service condor start, I get

mkdir: cannot create directory `FATAL: Unable to locate LOG in /opt/condor/condor-7.8.6/etc/condor/condor_config': No such file or directory
chown: cannot access `FATAL: Unable to locate LOG in /opt/condor/condor-7.8.6/etc/condor/condor_config': No such file or directory
FATAL: Required directory FATAL: Unable to locate LOG in /opt/condor/condor-7.8.6/etc/condor/condor_config does not exist, or is not a directory.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
