Re: [HTCondor-users] Recommended Windows OS

We are a multi-pool (with flocking) Condor site with all Windows execute nodes (~4,500) but use linux VMs

(SLES10 server) Central Managers for each pool. We do however have a separate ~15 submit nodes (VMs)

running Windows Server 2008.

Cheers

Hi,

One of the requirements is to use Windows. I cannot offer or user Linux based systems.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thank you,

Dennis.

Hi Dennis,

the obvious answer to your question is: Debian :)

Here i assume, that you are in the lucky situation not to be forced to use the M$ crap, but you asked about it just by inertia.
