Re: [HTCondor-users] Command to know list of pools

Hi Ben

I can see list of schedd but am not be able to use that to get more info about the jobs.

If I remember I use to do:
condor_q -nameÂlogin.atlas.ci-connect.netÂ-poolÂuct2-bosco.mwt2.org:11120?sock=collectorÂ

to know the list of jobs coming from putside pool. But now this command doesnt give me anything as it says:

[bawa@t3nfs ~]$ condor_q -name login.atlas.ci-connect.net -pool uct2-bosco.mwt2.org:11120?sock=collector
Error: Couldn't contact the condor_collector on
uct2-bosco.mwt2.org:11120?sock=collector.

Extra Info: the condor_collector is a process that runs on the central
manager of your Condor pool and collects the status of all the machines and
jobs in the Condor pool. The condor_collector might not be running, it might
be refusing to communicate with you, there might be a network problem, or
there may be some other problem. Check with your system administrator to fix
this problem.

If you are the system administrator, check that the condor_collector is
running on uct2-bosco.mwt2.org:11120?sock=collector, check the ALLOW/DENY
configuration in your condor_config, and check the MasterLog and CollectorLog
files in your log directory for possible clues as to why the condor_collector
is not responding. Also see the Troubleshooting section of the manual

Things seems to be changed. I am not sure how to check the settings now. What could be the right way. How do I check and match -name and -pool and what is 11120 number in the pool. Is this network port number?

If I do netstat: I see
tcp pt3head.atlas.csufresn:9xxx: modified fpr example
udp pt3head.atlas.csufresn:8xxx

I believe to query a schedd in another pool, you will need to also use
the -pool option. See

Thanks,
